Wind River Basin Campground is a 100% Native American owned glamping experience at the base of Wyoming's majestic Wind River Mountains. Authentic tipis, cozy beds, and the wild heart of the West..

Nestled on the Wind River Indian Reservation in Fort Washakie, Wyoming, our campground sits at the very base of the breathtaking Wind River Mountains. We invite you to experience the land as it has been known for generations.
Glamping is where breathtaking nature and a rustic experience meet. Stay in one of our four authentic tipis — furnished with comfortable beds, cozy linens, and traditional décor — while the majestic peaks of the Wind River Range rise before you. This is Wyoming as it was meant to be experienced.
We have 4 tipis available: 2 with king beds (sleeps 2) and 2 with double beds (sleeps 4).

Our intimate king bed tipis are perfect for couples seeking a romantic mountain retreat. Each tipi features one luxurious king bed, beautiful native star quilt blankets, soft lantern light, and the soothing sounds of the Wind River Range.

Our spacious double bed tipis comfortably accommodate families or small groups. Each tipi features two comfortable double beds, beautiful native star quilt blankets, soft lantern light, and mountain views.

Every stay includes access to our shared campfire gathering area. Gather under a sky blazing with stars, share stories, roast marshmallows, and feel the ancient pull of fire and community at Wind River Basin Campground beneath the Wyoming night sky.

As night falls over the Wind River Range, the sky erupts with stars and the campfire becomes the heart of Wind River Basin Campground. This is where stories are told, connections are made, and the ancient rhythms of the land are felt in your bones.
This is a dry campground—no alcohol or fires outside the designated fire ring.
Disconnect and unplug. Experience true wilderness without digital distractions.
We maintain a very clean porta potty and shower facility for guest comfort.
